New Family Dollar Stores Proposed In Waterville And Farmington

Family Dollar is planning at adding 19 new stores in the state of Maine and they are proposing to build two new stores in Farmington and Waterville.

The Waterville store would be built on a site on Kennedy Memorial Drive and is less than two miles away from their current location in town, with both stores remaining open.

The new Farmington location would relocate from Mt.Blue Plaza to a free standing store on Wilton Road.

The proposed Waterville location has had some residents opposition, citing that they did not want egress on Carver Street or Merryfield Avenue as part of any rezoning.

In Farmington, the proposal of the new store to be built next to Harvest House on Wilton Road seems to be proceeding without any opposition.
