New Smoking Ban To Go Into Effect In Sagadahoc County

A new smoking ban will go into effect on September 1st in Sagadahoc County. All outdoor Sagadahoc Country property, including parking lots and county vehicles will be off limits to smokers.

Sagadahoc County has followed the lead of Cumberland County by banning all tobacco products including e-cigaraettes.

Jason Shedlock, the Sagadahoc County Board of Health Deputy Director, says the new policies may encourage people to quit.

Some smokers think that limiting free air isn't fair.
