It is unclear where he was, but it is clear that he was away for two weeks and scared to death to face his girlfriend, so 36-year-old Rahmell Pettway faked his own kidnapping.  In what police are calling ‘a pathetic attempt to pull the wool over his girlfriend’s eyes’, ‘the total moron’ faked his own kidnapping as police found him duct taped in the middle of the street.  He tried to convince police that two men in a van took him on February 19 and kept him tied until the dumped off. Police were skeptical from the beginning because the duct tape attached to his wrist was still on the roll. Whether the lie worked on his girlfriend is not known.
