In an amazing feat, runner Kim Allan from New Zealand ran 300 miles without taking a break or taking a nap. She was out to break the record of 302 miles and she did running 310 miles in 86 hours and 11 minutes.

Allan ran the entire distance and time of 86 hours without sleeping. She also raised $7,000 for the New Zealand Spinal Trust, an organization helping people with spinal cord injuries. When the record run was over she had swollen feet, many blisters and sore muscles. When asked what she wanted to do the most now that the race was done, her reply was ‘sleep’.
