Chinese Man Mistakes Bears For Puppies
Wang Kayui, from the village of Yunnan, bought what he thought were two dogs from a Vietnamese man; the Chinese man was in for a big surprise when he discovered that his beloved pet dogs were, in fact, two bears.
He discovered his mistake when he read a conservation leaflet that showed the ‘puppies’ err ‘bears’ as an endangered species. He also noticed as they grew they demanded more and more food and began to look less and less like dogs and grew to 100 pounds apiece.
He said the cubs were very well behaved and he bathed and groomed them daily, but they also displayed strange behavior like killing and eating his pet chickens.
Wang decided to give the bears to the Forest Public Security Bureau who relocated the animals to the Yunnan Wild Animal Recue Center.
