NFL Assigns Ref Ed Hochuli to AFC Championship: Patriots Fans Upset
Patriot’s fans are up-in-arms over the upcoming AFC Championship game against the Denver Broncos. Is it the fact they are playing in Denver? Nope. Could it be Manning is being mentioned more than Brady? Nope. It’s all about who is going to referee the game.
Sunday’s AFC Championship game will be refereed by Ed Hochuli and for New England Patriots fans this is further proof NFL Commissioner, Roger Goodell is out to get the Patriots and quarterback Tom Brady.
It all comes down to team records when Hochuli is the referee. Since 2008, when Hochuli officiated Denver Bronco games they are 6-0. In the same time period, with Hochuli as ref, the New England Patriots are 4-4.
Adding more fuel to the fire is the fact Payton Manning is 14-2 in games officiated by Hochuli and Tom Brady is 8-5.
