No Plans for an Ironman 4

Robert Downey Jr., star of Ironman 1, 2 and 3, says there are no plans for an Iron Man 4. Recently at the Toronto International Film festival promoting his movie ‘The Judge’, Downey confirmed Marvel was not thinking of making a 4^th installment of the franchise.

Even though Downey will not be making #4 he will still be on the Marvel payroll for two more sequels. Marvel and Disney’s ‘Avengers’ series will be scheduled for May of 2015 and another in 2018.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige didn’t exclude the possibility of an Iron Man 4, but it doesn’t seem to be on the studios mind right now. Considering the Iron Man franchise has made 2.4 billion worldwide, you should never say never.
