Norway Opera House Clock Is Fixed
Much like the clock tower in Hill Valley, in the Back To The Future movie, the clock tower at the Norway Opera House is fixed! The $1.1 million restoration project on the Opera House has been completed.Norway Town Manager David Holt, tells the Lewiston Sun-Journal that the broken piece has been replaced.
The 120-year-old Opera House clock is on Main Street in Norway and the clock keeper, Jim Bryant of Wayne, told the Lewiston Sun-Journal, that two wires going to the clock broke around the final work of the restoration project and that a new motor drive had to be ordered from an Indiana company.
One change with the clock is that it’s now running on electric power and is no longer solar powered.
