Number One Halloween Candy in Maine? Read On

The number one Halloween candy for the second year in a row is expected to beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ‘Candy Corn.’

I was kinda surprised by this but more states in the country buy candy corn more than any other candy. Last year Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups tied candy corn for the number one spot.

Here in Maine the most popular Halloween candy, ‘Sour Patch Kids’ which is the second most popular confectionary. Maine joins New York, Illinois, Massachusetts and Nebraska preferring sweet and tangy candy.

According to houston.culturemap.com Starburst is the favorite of Texas, Wisconsin and South Dakota with Texas alone consuming nearly 2 million pounds of Starburst.
