Facebook Helps President Obama Pardon Two Turkeys
After a neck and neck online competition, President Obama today granted pardon to two turkeys, Cobbler and Gobbler. Cobbler, who likes eating cranberries and listening to Carly Simon, narrowly beat out Gobbler, the corn-eating turkey who loves bluegrass. (The voting took place via Facebook poll.)
President Obama named Gobbler as Cobbler’s “alternate.” The pair will live out their days at the George Washington Mount Vernon Estate. They are the eighth turkeys he has pardoned during his presidency.
