October 25th is World Pasta Day

Today, October 25th, is World Pasta Day. It is celebrated all over the world as pasta is eaten in one form or another in every country on the planet. The main message is the nutritional and gastronomic versatility of pasta. The promotion started with the World Pasta Congress when they met in Rome on October 25th, 1995, and decided in favor of promoting and celebrating pasta the world over.

 

Pasta is a staple on any families menu with many households preparing pasta one night week. According to a study by pasta maker Barilla, 90 per cent of parents say pasta is an ‘easy’ meal option. So grab a pot and some noodles and boil a big batch of pasta for dinner tonight.
