Opera Singer Sings During Operation

Ambroz Bajec-Lapajne, a Slovenian opera singer, performed the first and last couplets of Schubert's "Gute Nacht" while undergoing surgery for a brain tumor.

Doctors wanted him to sing so they could monitor his ability to sing and recognize key change. At first he couldn’t control his tongue but soon was able to hear the doctors praising his abilities.

The operation was about a year ago and he is doing fine and continuing with his professional singing career.

He released the video, on YouTube, of him singing while having surgery.
