The New England Patriots have made a trade with the Cleveland Browns to get linebacker Barkevious Mingo, a former overall #6 first round pick in the draft.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Pats will give up a 5th round pick in 2017.

Mingo was selected by the Browns in 2013 but has never lived up to his draft hype. He has just seven sacks in three seasons. Mingo started a total of 16 games in Cleveland.

The Patriots are hoping he might give them some pass rushing help. Keep in mind, the Pats LB Rob Ninkovich is dealing with a tricep injury.

NOTE: The Patriots play their third preseason game tomorrow night at Carolina. Live coverage onn B98.5 starts at 4:30pm.
