This has to one of the oddest memorials to a pet I have ever heard of.  A Dutch thirteen-year-old, Pepeijn BruinsBruins (how do like that name hockey fans?) turned his pet rat into a helicopter.

He built the ‘rat’ copter with the help of two engineers to memorialize his beloved rat Ratjetoe. Instead of buring it or stuffing it at putting it on his shelf, he stuffed it and made it into an actual flying helicopter.

They attached two helicopter blades, with remote controls, to the rat’s front legs and now the 13 year old can fly his beloved rat. Bruins says the rat can now soar into the sky like he never got to do in life.
