Peugeot, the car company from France, is planning on introducing a ‘Hybrid Air’ car with a release date of 2015. The air would be used for in city driving under 43 mph and could save as much as 80% on fuel bills.

The car would combine air and gas for speeds greater than 43mph. The company hopes by 2020 the car would get up to 117 miles per gallon using compressed air and fuel, a breakthrough for hybrid cars because it’s less expensive than batteries currently being used.  There would never be a fear of running out of compressed air because of a replenishing device on board that will work automatically.
