State Police say human remains have been found this morning in Richmond and detectives are now investigating. Maine Department of Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausland said the remains were located in a wooded area off Lincoln Street, around dawn, by a Sagadahoc County deputy after police received information during the night. A team of detectives are now on scene working with the State Medical Examiner’s Office. The remains, which appear to be of an adult, will be transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Augusta for autopsy and identification.
