Authorities in Maine say they found two car burglary suspects handcuffed together after an overnight crime spree.

The Sun Journal reports officers responded to a call earlier this month in Lisbon for a suspicious vehicle. Once there, an officer found a disabled pickup truck at the gas pumps and two teenage boys handcuffed together behind the store.

It's unclear how the teens became tethered together but investigators say the handcuffs came from a recently burglarized vehicle and the pickup truck had been taken without permission from one of the teen's family friends.

Motor vehicle burglary and theft charges are pending against the two teens. (AP)
