The Portland Sea Dogs set a record with the 88 wins during the regular season this year. The winning team helped add fans in the stands this season after the Sea Dogs had seen dropping attendance over the past few years.

Portland averaged 5,530 fans per game this year with 14 sellouts. That was good for the third best attendance in the Eastern League.

Last season the Sea Dogs averaged 5,096 fans per game with six sellouts.

Attendance in Portland peaked in 2007 with 6,483 fans per game and 24 sellouts.

The Sea Dogs are hosting their first playoff game since 2008 tonight. Over 3,500 tickets have been sold for tonight's game.
