Portland Sea Dogs Named Minor League Team of The Year

The Portland Sea Dogs had a great season in 2014. They recorded an all-time best 88-54 team record. They also produced many players who ended up the season with the Boston Red Sox.

Baseball America has named the Portland Sea Dogs as their Minor League Team of The Year!

Players like Mookie Betts, who in one season, went from Double-A Portland to Triple-A Pawtucket and then to Boston.

Pitching prospects Henry Owens and Brian Johnson are expected to make the major league squad in 2015.

The Sea Dogs attendance was also higher in 2014.
