If you have ever brought the family to Hadlock Field in Portland in the summer to catch a Sea Dogs game, you know that kids of all ages love 'Slugger'. He is the beloved mascot of the Portland Sea Dogs, and now not only is Slugger entertaining baseball fans he's starting a journey for a good cause.

Slugger is walking from Fenway Park to Hadlock Field to raise money for Tourette syndrome nonprofits.

Slugger left Fenway Park in Boston this past Sunday at noon and is walking the 114-mile route to Hadlock Field in Portland. He is expected to arrive on Thursday in time for the Sea Dogs game versus the New Hampshire Fisher Cats.

Tourette syndrome is a neurological disorder that's characterized by involuntary movements and vocal tics.

Follow 'Slugger' on his Facebook page. He is hoping to raise $20,000. There is more details on the sea dogs website on how you can help.
