One of the biggest traffic obstacles in the Augusta area saw some progress overnight. Road support beams were placed over the southbound side of I-95 last night, as the rebuild continues at a rapid pace.

The project  Accelerated Bridge Construction to shorten the renovation to 55 days (down from the usual 150) According to a report from Central Maine.com, the bridge was over 60 years old and in need of repair. The new bridge will be two feet wider, and clearance will now stand at 15.5 feet.
