Alabama showed why they are #1 in College Football with a convincing win over rival LSU 38-17. The Crimson Tide played cupcakes the last four weeks and were scoring points at will but LSU’s defense was supposed to give the some competition, and they did in the first half. LSU moved the ball well in the first half too, even with two fumbles lost, the score was tied at 17-17 at the half.

Alabama made half time adjustments and ran the ball right through the LSU defense. ‘Bama’s 39 points were the most scored against LSU since 1947.

#2 Florida State looked strong in a 59-3 win over Wake Forest. The Seminoles had six interceptions in the game.

Thursday night #3 Oregon fell to #5 Stanford 26-20. The second year in a row the Cardinal beat the Ducks.

#6 Baylor held Oklahoma to 87 yards rushing on 34 attempts and won 41-12. Baylor rushed for 182 yards on 23 carries.

#8 Missouri beat a 2 and 7 Kentucky team 48-17.

Auburn at #9 attempted only 7 passes in its game against Tennessee but rushed for 444 yards to easily beat the Vols  55-23.

The U Maine Black Bears stayed undefeated in the CAA and 9-1 overall, their beat record in school history, by beating Albany 33-27. The Black Bears have never had a season like this dating back to the beginning of the program in 1892. QB Marcus Wasilewski threw 3 touchdown passes and no interception for the fifth game in a row. Maine faces Rhode Island next week and ends the season at New Hampshire on the 23rd, then it’s off to the first round of the NCAA playoffs.
