There were a couple of the bigger bowl games played over the weekend, the Cotton Bowl with #8 Missouri and #13 Oklahoma State, and the Orange Bowl with #7 Ohio State and #12 Clemson. Both games featured high scoring offenses and the final scores didn’t disappoint.

In the Cotton Bowl #8 Missouri beat #13 Oklahoma State 41-31. Missouri’s running back Henry Josey had 12 carries for 92 yards and 3 touchdowns, and defensive lineman Shane Ray recovered a fumble and returned it 73 yards for a touchdown.  Missou ran for 256 yards against the Cowboys.

In the Orange Bowl #12 Clemson beat #7 Ohio State 40-35. The two teams combined for more than a 1,000 yards of offense in the game. Clemson receiver Sammy Watkins broke an Orange Bowl record for receiving and it was Clemson’s Stephone Anthony’s interception with 1:18 to play that sealed the win for the Tigers.
