Country icon Ray Price, who made headlines earlier this year over a public tiff with Blake Shelton due to comments the latter made about country music’s elder statesmen and classic artists, referring to them as “old farts,” has been readmitted to the hospital. The singer has been in and out of facilities over the past several weeks.

Last month, Price, who is 87 years young, received treatment for dehydration, which resulted in kidney stones and intense, incredible pain. The good news is that his doctors are effectively managing the discomfort while deciding on the next course of action.

The legendary singer thanked his fans and supporters for all the love and care that they’ve shown him as he has faced down these medical issues. The ‘For the Good Times’ singer was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at the end of 2012.

All of Price’s concerts scheduled for June have been canceled, with hopes of rescheduling in the future.

A full update on Price’s condition was posted on his Facebook page, informing fans of the latest development regarding his health.

The post is as follows:

Hello to all of Rays Friends,
So sad to tell you that Ray has been readmitted to hospital.
Test results show that the long term dehydration has caused kidney stones to develop and Ray was in severe pain.
The Doctors have gotten the pain under control and are now deciding on the best way to remove the stones.
We have canceled all of the June concerts and the Rob Battle Artist Agency is rescheduling the dates. We will post the new dates when all have been confirmed.
Ray asked me to thank you all for your love and support and to tell you that your prayers are keeping us both going.
