Country singer-songwriter Ryan Sims is ready to part with his guitar ... but only so that it can go to one of The Boot's readers. Enter above, and that lucky reader could be you!

A native of Cave Creek, Ariz., who grew up first in Indiana with two siblings and a single mother, Sims was introduced to the guitar by his stepfather, whom his mother married when Sims was 10. The guitar he's giving away -- which he'll personalize for the winner -- is an Ibanez acoustic-electric guitar; it's black and blue (which just so happens to be the name of a song on Sims' most recent EP), and he performed with it during much of his recent High School Nation Tour.

To get in to win, just use the entry form above. You can follow The Boot and Sims on social media, download our app and more to earn entries; the more options you participate in, the more entries you earn.

This contest closes at 11:59PM ET on April 30; after that, we'll pick one winner from among all of the entries. Be sure to read The Boot's official contest rules -- and good luck!

Sims released his My Side of the Story EP in November. He wrote or co-wrote all of the project's seven tracks, which discuss the ups and downs of his personal life: an ex's affair, the end of a long-term relationship, time spent in rehab. Fans may also know Sims' name from his time on The X Factor back in 2011; he says the experience "was less about music than about learning the ways of the world,” but one that "did teach me how to calm myself and perform my best under pressure."
