Sarah Shares Her HATCHIMAL Experience – Is It Worth The Hype?

The Hatchimal is probably the most sought after toy this holiday season.  Similar to the Cabbage Patch Kid, Tickle Me Elmo & the Furby...parents are raiding store shelves searching for this must-have item so their kids have the best Christmas ever!  My daughter, Chloe, got one for her birthday and immediately we all had to see what the commotion was all about.  

The hatching process takes up to 30 minutes and requires constant attention during this phase.  We were all taking turns rubbing the egg and talking to it.  When the hatching finally started, there was much anticipation to see what would happen next.  The hatch-ling would tap the egg...and if you tapped it back, it tapped back at you.  Yea, it was cute.  As it continued to work its way through the hard shell, the egg became soft...which led all the men in the house to figure out the engineering behind such creativity.  Watch our experience:

Eventually, the critter made its debut and even sang 'Happy Birthday' to itself.  Now the raising for our lil dragon begins.
