Thank you everyone who has continued to keep my daughter in their thoughts and prayers.

Emma underwent what is called 'Tethered Cord Release' on Wednesday in New York by one of the best neurosurgeons in the country, Dr. Paolo Bolognese.

The surgery was successful,  but recovery has been a struggle.  Emma was required to remain flat for 24 hours. That was a battle for her.

After that, we gradually sat her up over a three-hour time frame to prevent a Cerebrospinal Fluid leak.

Once that was successful,  she has to sit in a chair and walk the halls.   All the activity has exhausted her.  We anticipate 4 more days in the hospital and 2 additional days at the Ronald McDonald House.   We hope to be home by Wednesday and maybe I'll be back to work Thursday.   Fingers crossed.
