Sarah’s First Preventative Dental Appointment In 22 Years!

TWENTY TWO YEARS!!  I know, I know!  It's been a long time since I've been able to have any preventative dental work done.  I've been seen for emergency "Ouch, you need to fix this tooth now" exams and I've suffered a few extractions as a result. 

Yesterday, I went to Evergreen Dental.  I was so nervous that I was going to be informed that my mouth was a "hot mess".  But surprisingly, my mouth could have been much much worse.  My exam started out with a pretty intense deep cleaning.  OMG!!  I can feel each grove in my teeth now.  I had no idea that was supposed to be normal.  My teeth feel GREAT this morning.

After looking over all the X-Rays, after 22 years, I have 9 cavities.  I guess that's not too bad.  But I do have a tooth that requires a root canal.  When Dr. Shumway told me I needed a crown, I was like "I know, right!"  Finally, a man who sees me for who I am.  This is the beginning of a beautiful relationship!
