The small town of Bingham, Maine has two banks, and now they have something in common. They have both been robbed within the past month. The similarities don't end there.Both robberies were robbed by a man armed with a hammer.

Yesterday, the Skowhegan Savings Bank branch in Bingham was robbed around 1 p.m..The robbery was by a white male between 5 feet, 10 inches and 6 feet tall weraing dark clothes and a ski mask and carrying a hammer. That's according to Chief Deputy Dale Lancaster of the Somerset County Sheriff's Department.

On January 17, 2014, the Camden National Bank in Bingham, was also robbed by a man with a hammer. However, that robber was described as heavyset.

The Somerset County Sheriff's Department is asking that anyone with information about either robbery call the detective division at 474-9591 or the tip line at 474-0230.
