Tomorrow will be my last day before vacation and I wanted to make sure I shared these memories with you. I will be back January 2, 2014.

What a year it has been! Adventures, laughter, tears, firsts and lasts...they all make up a very full and happy life that I am fortunate enough to have.

Here is a look back at my life in 2013. Counting down from 12-1...1 being the best moment!

12. Dying my hair blonde
It's just hair, right? I know it seems weird but dying my hair was adventurous!

11. My first fish ice fishing
When Chad had me pull up that fish it was so incredible. I had been ice fishing before but had absolutely no luck.

10. I shot a gun
It was exhilarating! I can't wait to own one of my own and go out hunting with Chad and the kids.

9. Watching Chad perform at Meadowbrook
I was so proud of him and his band Cold Blue Steel. Their fans followed them all the way to New Hampshire to see them and Trace Adkins. Opening for a major act is quite the feat!

8. My first time at the Fryeburg Fair
Chad took the family and his parents this year. I had never been. I can't believe how big it is! And to run in to people you know at a fair that big...awesome!

7. Being on Community Auditions
I was on a tv show singing my heart out...and loved it. I didn't win...but I really did.

6. Anderson's 1st day of 2nd grade
He walked right into Benton Elementary and never looked back. My little man is growing up.

5. Being a finalist for Katie Couric and Martina McBride
I  may not have made the grand finals but it was still an honor being chosen out of thousands of people.

4. Completing the PFBF Half Marathon
Thanks to the help from Anytime Fitness, I ran, jogged and walked 13.1 miles. Had I not twisted my ankle on mile 8 I would have finished with a better time.

3. Anderson riding his bike without training wheels
I cried. No more holding onto it so he can keep his balance. He's a big boy now.

2. My 1st gig with my very own band
I can't believe I actually have my own band. Sharon Buck & Dixon Road had a fantastic year this year. Thank you all so much for coming out and listening and dancing!

1. Chad and I got engaged
It was a complete surprise. While at his gig at the Clubhouse Tavern and singing 'Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not?" by Thompson Square he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Next June I will become Mrs. Hood...and I can't wait!
