Hold the phone!  All these years, I've always set my sights on the tall, dark and handsome men.  Apparently, I should have been looking a little further down the growth chart for "Mr. Right".

I had cable hooked up in my house and recently while I was watching daytime television, I heard that shorter men make better husbands.  There was a study on this?  Really?  So I had to look it up, and it's true.  According to medicaldaily.com, a group from The University of Michigan has been collecting data for the last 50 years.  Here is what they discovered...

Short men were less likely to get divorced, but it's unlikely that they will get married before the age of 45.  That's because short men have a harder time getting married as they are viewed as less masculine by society.  However, when they do get married, the divorce rate drops by 32% for shorter men.

Shorter men also perform over 8 hours of housework weekly vs. the 7 hours to that of average and tall men.  They also tend to have higher incomes than their partners.  But, the study shows that they are more likely to pick a spouse who is younger and less educated than they are.  21% of these short men being with women who haven't even completed high school.

When college students were surveyed, 30% of women found it awkward or weird dating someone shorter than them. Perhaps it's time to put an end to these men getting the shorter end of the stick.  After all, your Mr. Right could be shorter than you.
