Skowhegan Field Hockey Coach Sets New State Record With Her 500th Win

Congrats to Skowhegan Area High School field hockey coach Paula Doughty on her 500th victory.  Not just an immense milestone for her, it is also a new state record!

According to the KJ, yesterday afternoon, Doughty won her 500th game (15 - 0 over Lewiston), becoming the first in state history to reach the milestone in field hockey.  As she doesn't keep track of her wins and losses, she said she never would have known about the milestone.  Fortunately, her husband does.  At the beginning of her season, her husband commented that she might hit the 500 win mark this season.  Apparently, yesterday was the day!
