Some Things You May Not Know About Reba McEntire
Reba McEntire’s sitcom, Malibu Country, was recently cancelled, but Reba is survivor and a woman of many talents. She sings, of course, she also dances, acts and has been in the music business for 40 years but there may be a few things you don’t know about Reba.
Reba’s mother was a teacher and that’s what she aspired to be too, she majored in elementary education at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
Reba McEntire had a job in her early days castrating bulls, she and her two sisters would carry the bucket of testicles to their house and clean them and their mother would slice them and fry them for dinner.
In her spare time, Reba is bit of a photographer that likes to mess around with the camera and she likes skeet and trap shooting.
Wynonna Judd was first choice for the song ‘Does He Love You’, which ended up being Linda Davis in the duet. Wynonna wasn’t Reba’s first choice, she wanted Linda but the record label had other ideas, so Reba suggested Davis record it as fill-in and did such a great job they kept her. (Linda Davis is the mother of Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum)
Reba is friends with former President George H. W. Bush, who turned 89 today ;( 6-12-13) they keep in touch via email.
