Heading out on the weekends to go to a yard sale is one of the big activities of the summer. One person junk is another treasure. According Chris Heiska from the Yard Sale Queen website there are some things you should never buy.

Baby Gear like cribs, playpens, car seats and other baby gear should be passed on because they are usually older models and may not be as safe as newer.

Bike Helmets are in the same category, older helmets aren’t as safe as the new type.

Mattresses are a big risk when buying at a yard sale. Used mattresses can come with stains and odors that are hard to get rid of and they may have pet dander and other pests.

Electronics because of how quickly technology changes may not be a good buy. Always test the product before buying it and sometime for a few dollars more you can buy new and a newer model.

Shoes are one of those things that can have an ‘ick’ factor. If they have been on someone else feet they are molded to that person and not you. They may feel comfortable at first but after wearing them for a period of time, they can be bad for you. Running shoes are especially bad.
