Thousands of fish everywhere!  That was the messy situation on Rt. 32 in Windsor yesterday afternoon.  How the fish ended up on the strip in front of Windsor Elementary School is still somewhat of a smelly mystery.  The fish and guts created slippery conditions, but with the help of the Maine DOT, along with the Windsor Fire Department and Windsor Public Works, the fish were removed from the road.

According to WABI TV5:

'A witness told sheriff’s deputies that fish poured from the sides and rear of a blue dump-truck style vehicle as it turned onto Ridge Road from Route 17 in front of the elementary school.

The truck did not stop and has not been identified'

According to Sarah Dyer:

'The intersection at Rt 17 & the Ridge Rd (32) is not even close to the elementary school.  An eye witness told me that the truck slammed on their breaks causing the fish to spill all over the road and then took off'

This certainly is a mystery.
