SpongeBob SquarePants Sponsoring NASCAR Race
The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series will be at Kansas Speedway for the May 9th race and will be called the SpongeBob SquarePants 400.
Nickelodeon was looking to expand their relationship with NASCAR and this gives them the opportunity to continue a 10 year relationship with NASCAR.
NASCAR stars have taken part in Nickelodeon programming when Danica Patrick won a Kid’s Choice Sport Ward and two Kid’s Choice Awards, Jeff Gordon won Team Umizoomi and Hammer Down and Jimmie Johnson will appear in an episode of Nick Jr’s Bubble Guppies show.
The SpongeBob-NASCAR deal will include costume character appearances, a SpongeBob photo station and a kid’s play area.
