In case you weren't paying attention during 'Spring Breakers,' the mantra is "Spring Break forever," and that's apparently the motto that production company Wild Bunch is living by because we're getting 'Spring Breakers 2.' Grab your ski masks and bikinis, and get ready for 'Spring Breakers: The Second Coming.'

We're not really quite sure how a sequel would work out, given the wild ending of Harmony Korine's first film, which was some seriously fantastical business. But given that the film dealt in the realm of hyper-grimy fantasy and delusion, anything is possible, including a sequel.

Screen Daily reports that Wild Bunch unveiled its Cannes slate, which includes 'Spring Breakers: The Second Coming,' a film "in which the Spring Breakers do battle with an extreme militant Christian sect that attempts to convert them." That description seems to take the first film's themes and crank them up to 11, sort of positioning the girls as super heroines. Irvine Welsh, the writer of the novels on which 'Trainspotting' and recent indie 'Filth' were based, penned the script, while Jonas Akerlund will direct.

Akerlund is best known for his music video work and the 2002 film 'Spun,' a dark indie dramedy about meth addiction which starred Jason Schwartzman. Wild Bunch co-chief Vincent Maraval says casting for this 'Spring Breakers 2' is still underway with a mixture of new and old cast members. "It’s not a direct sequel," he adds, "although there are allusions to some of the characters in the original."

So how do you guys feel about 'Spring Breakers 2'? Are you pumped? Or are y'all feeling 'spicious?
