Nate Scimio is being hailed as a hero. Early reports say that Nate is the one who pulled the fire alarm and may have saved two girls from falling victim in today's mass stabbings outside Pittsburgh.

Police say a 16-year-old sophomore at Franklin Regional High School in Murrysville, Pennsylvania walked into the school and began stabbing students and one security guard. 20 people, in all, were injured.

CBS Pittsburgh says Nate Scimio posted his hospital-gowned selfie to Instagram, complete with a bandage on his arm. International Business Times (IBT) says it's believed that Nate saved two girls from getting stabbed and was stabbed himself when he pulled the fire alarm. He also, reportedly, screamed to alert others to the attacker.

Police have the suspect in custody and are questioning him. There's no report, at this time, as to what motivated the sophomore to stab the other students.
