The 21st annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is happening this Saturday with the United States Postal Service. It's easy to help, just leave a bag of nonperishable food items by your mailbox this Saturday and your letter carrier will pick it up.All the food collected will then be delivered to local food banks.

Here are some examples of nonperishable items:

  • Peanut Butter
  • Canned Soup
  • Canned Meats and Fish
  • Canned Vegetables, Fruits and Juices
  • Boxed Goods
  • Pasta and Rice

Just make sure the food is placed out by your mailbox before mail is delivered Saturday.

The food drive is sponsored by the National Association of Letter Carriers and Campbell Soup Co. to support Feeding America.

Last year's food drive people donated more than 70 million pounds of food.
