With the resent passing of Leonard Nimoy at the age of 83, it started me thinking about who we lost in 2014 and the early part of 2015. Some names on the list you may know and some you may not.

Ernie Banks nicknamed ‘Mr. Cub’, for his 19 years playing with the Chicago Cubs. Passed away January 23, 2015 at 83.

ESPN’s Stuart Scott, longtime Sports Center anchor died after a long battle with cancer at 49.

Bess Myerson who was the first Jewish Miss America. Crowned in 1945, she turned her win into national celebrity for years. She died in December 2014 at 90.

Donna Douglas who will always be best known as Elly Mae Clampett from the TV show, ‘The Beverly Hillbillies’. She died January 1, 2015 in Baton Rouge, La. At 82.
