If you love live music, there is no better place to be than Hallowell Maine. And at the center of the Hallowell music scene is the Kennebec Wharf.

Sunday nights at the Wharf has always featured some of the best local musicians getting together for the weekly jam hosted by Christine Poulson.

And this Sunday night, local residents can help out their families and neighbors who are struggling with the annual Food Raiser for the Hallowell Food Bank. The Hallowell food bank is located under the Hallowell Fire Station and is always looking to help out needy local residents.

Bob Verrill, a local celebrity and Hallowell food bank volunteer, will be hosting this food drive along with Chris Poulson and Laurie Connelly collecting food from 5 PM-9 PM.

This from Bob...
I need your support on Sunday, October 30 from 5-9 pm at the Kennebec Wharf. Please bring a bag of non-perishable food. They especially need paper towels, toilet paper and cans of baked beans. Christine is lining up a stellar group of musicians who will play continuous music. We will have several door prize drawings and items to auction off. Look forward to seeing all my family and friends Sunday, October 30 at the Kennebec Wharf Sunday Jam from 5-9 pm.

No donation is too small as every little bit will help and no person should go hungry. So stop at the store and pick up some items to donate before heading to the jam on Sunday night. You will be helping your neighbors and you also get to listen to some great music while you are there!
