Move over Sharknado, it’s time for the next horror-comedy from writer-director Leigh Scott, it’s ‘Piranha Sharks’. Sharknado was a surprise, made for T.V., hit on the SyFy channel with a special midnight showing at theatres that pulled in $200,000. Scott is hoping for the same type of success from Piranha Sharks.

Here’s the down low on this movie: Great white sharks are bio-engineered to the size of a piranha and get loose in the plumbing of New York City. Why were the great whites shrunk to piranha size, so rich people in New York could have them for their exotic aquariums. Once they get into the water supply the piranha size great white sharks do what they do best, eat people. Release date is sometime in 2014.
