Moving to the new house in Clinton, I've seen just about everything in our yard. Skunks, deer, groundhogs, snakes, rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks, dogs, cats, and bats. Yes, bats...

The kids have brought catepillars in the house, mice, frogs, worms, moths...you name it, we have had it. Kids are very curious! But this time it wasn't found by a kid. Well, maybe a big kid.

Coolest Dad Ever!

Sometimes when you read stories, you're like "Why didn't I think of that?" This is one such story and...it can be done!

Every child has their favorite toy. Anderson's is Beanie, the stuffed cat we made at The Fun Park in Benton over a year ago. Not an afternoon goes by when he doesn't run up the stairs when we get home from school and he finds her. He brings her downstairs and we do homework with Beanie, we cook with Beanie. Beanie is even a character on our Wii gaming system. I don't think I could use Beanie for this project but anything else would be cool!

THIS child's favorite toy is a train named Stanley. And you'll NEVER guess where Stanley goes!

Sharon's Son Anderson Has a Big Idea!

It's not unusual for kids to have ideas. They come up with some doozies, don't they? At a recent trip to a campground Anderson had an idea and he won't let go of it because he brought them home. And, as a mom, you try to indulge your child. But THIS idea had merit...and make him money in the future!

When did kids toys get so complicated? Or expensive? Being the mother of a 6 year old boy I didn't think it was going to be difficult to buy him birthday presents this year. He does have a Leapster which has helped him learn all kinds of things like math, spelling and even countries and continents! We do have a Wii that has the normal games but also has educational games (plus helps keep Mom fit!). When I was little I was happy to play with a cardboard box! Things have definitely changed!
