Campers at Jenks Lake in California's San Bernardino National Forest got an unexpected visitor over the weekend when a bear sauntered into camp and stole a backpack containing an iPad. Not that we blame him, of course. Those things are expensive!

We're glad this guy's instinct when he found a squirrel in his kitchen was to grab a camera and record it, rather than grab a broom and start screaming. The squirrel seems pretty panicked (what squirrel doesn't?), but maybe it was just gathering up speed for what might be the greatest escape in the history of animals trapped in kitchens...

Rupert the cocker spaniel/poodle mix loves attention just like any other pooch. But unlike other dogs, he gets seriously ticked off when he doesn't get it. Easy, pal. You won't be getting any hugs with that sort of attitude.

The nice part about being a gorilla in a zoo is that you're safe from poachers. OH! And the first time you see a caterpillar is going to be freaking awesome, because you don't really get out very much.

As the summer season comes to a close and it's not quite time for winter fun in Maine, there are still plenty of great family activities to do. When was the last time your family went to the Maine Wildlife Park in Gray? They are open for the season until November 11th.
