Naked Painting of Bea Arthur Selling for $2 Million

Maybe 'Airheads' is your favorite movie. Maybe you really loved 'Maude' and 'The Golden Girls.' Or maybe you just love oil paintings of nude older ladies. If any of these are true, and you've got at least $2 million to spare, this painting of Bea Arthur (note: she didn't actually pose for the painting) by artist John Currin is up for auction.

It's expected to go for $1.8-$2.5 million bucks. Here's what (most of) the whole painting looks like.

Sure, it's got sword fights and dragons, but if you're wanting to take 'Game of Thrones' to some next-level nerdery, this fantastic artwork is probably the ticket. Yes, it's the series' beloved characters drawn in anime fashion. We've seen the show in the style of 'Friends' and 'Seinfeld,' but this drawing by Deviant Art user Joscomie, is a tad more relevant. Meaning, we could actually watch this. Oh! Warning: upon close inspection this contains some spoilers, so passing glances only, if you don't want to ruin everything.

We've been mourning the sad loss of 'Calvin and Hobbes' ever since cartoonist Bill Watterson stopped producing the beloved comic strip in 1995. But apparently the strip hasn't gone completely forgotten, since a piece of original 'Calvin and Hobbes' artwork recently broke a record at auction by selling for hundreds of thousands of dollars.

This makes a lot of sense -- it's a sculpture of Honey Boo Boo, made out of 25 pounds of garbage. We see some I Can't Believe It's Not Butter, and a box of spaghetti. Looks like maybe some Snuggie packaging is in there too.
