Jo Dee Messina revealed she has diagnosed with cancer. She said the diagnosis came recently but wasn’t specific on a timeline but she did say it has been a trying summer. According to theboot.com Messina’s treatment plan are not known but they will begin this fall. Meanwhile she has cancelled all tour dates after October 7th.

Guitar company Fender has teamed up with Brad Paisley to create a signature Telecaster for the country star.

For the third year in row Blake Shelton will return for the opening theme of NBC’s NASCAR coverage. NASCAR started using Shelton’s song ‘Bring Back the Sunshine’ in 2015 and in 2016 he reworked the words to fit the racing environment. According to theboot.com this year’s opening will feature more than 20 current NASCAR Cup Series drivers.

Students of Middle Tennessee State University and Belmont University, both in Kenny Chesney’s home state will benefit from his new video ‘All the Pretty Girls.’ Students can make the video for the song and receive a $5,000 scholarship. According to tasteofcountry.com the video will premiere on CMT and will include categories like lyric, live action, motion, animation and more.
