Bullying is an Issue for Adults as well as Kids

Bullying has been in the news a lot recently. It mostly seems to focus on kids. And, well it should, growing up can be hard enough. Add in bullying into the mix and it is so much harder. Until recently, I thought it was not an adult problem, except maybe as a parent as a child faced these issues. BUT, I am wrong. It can happen in the lives of adults. Let me tell you, it is super annoying and disheartening.

Bullying is never cool. In central Maine we have 'Bikers Against Bullying' and now I find 'Trekkers Against Bullying'. It is exactly what you think it is, people with a passion for 'Star Trek' and its ideas for the future, and bullying is not on that agenda.

Shannon Selig, formerly of North Yarmouth and now an up-and-coming country music singer who lives in Nashville has a powerful viral video out concerning bullying. She tells the Bangor Daily News, “I was bullied in high school, and now I’m an example. I’ve been there and I’m OK.”
