<p>With <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daylight_saving_time" target="_blank">daylight savings time </a>coming to an end <a href="http://www.nowpublic.com/world/daylight-savings-time-2012-when-do-we-fall-back" target="_blank">this Sunday morning</a>. It got me wondering how did it start in the first place? It's a popular belief that the first idea of daylight savings time was conceived by <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benjamin_Franklin" target="_blank">Benjamin Franklin</a> in 1784. He published an essay titled 'An Economical Project for Diminshing the Cost of Light' it proposed to economize the use of candles by rising earlier to make use of the morning sunlight.</p>
