Daytona 500

What an awesome way to kick off this American racing event. They ended up having to postpone the race due to weather, the action picks back up today at 4pm.

Shay Mooney, of Dan + Shay welcomed their new baby boy, Asher James Mooney. The baby was born on Tuesday and Mooney made two promises, one to his new son and one to his future wife. To the boy, to be the Father he deserves and to his wife, to be the husband she wants and needs.

One event that took place at this past weekend’s Daytona 500 that didn’t get a lot of publicity was a bacon eating contest. It too place before the race started and new world record was set.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. vowed before the race that he'd join Twitter if he won the Daytona 500. Late Sunday night, that statement turned into reality.

Danica Patrick will be hitting the track hard and fast on Sunday as a pole position starter in the Daytona 500; the first woman ever to do so.
