Gov. LePage is urging motorists in Maine to drive safely to keep roads safe as New Year's Eve is upon us. Gov. LePage said 163 people have died on Maine roads this year, and that too many of those deaths were caused by distracted or drunken drivers.

Some pretty stupid (and wildly entertaining) stuff can go down when alcohol is involved, like going on an airport joyride while wasted. It's not the smartest thing to do, but it happens. There's also the embarrassing drunk scenarios, like the one with this dude from Florida.

It might not be very cost efficient, but a vodka and water mix can act as antifreeze for your car. Apparently such a solution will also keep your elephant from freezing.

If you think your local watering hole gets a little rough at times, imagine a bar so out of control that management has to enforce a maximum drink capacity as a means for cutting down on hair pulling, biting and other perils of the drunken idiot.

If the majority of top-shelf whiskeys require a 10-20 year aging process, then how are those distilleries just getting started in the business able to market and distribute a brand without waiting decades for their first batch to mature?

We've always thought that binge drinking was just part of being a dumb teenager, but scientists say they've recently discovered a gene which could account for the risky behavior.
